I will be away in Christchurch, New Zealand, to represent our Archbishop in an Anglican Evangelical Conference in Christchurch, which will be held over two days (1st & 2nd July). Ps William Chee is coming along as well. It will be good to link up with our brothers and sister in this part of the world.

As the second half of the year opens, do be alert to the various opportunities for participation in the life of the parish.

    Special events:
The Alpha Course - Do start inviting your friends! Be intentional and plan ahead. Evangelism will always need faith and love ( = time + energy) and each of us should seriously consider the part we need to play.
Family Afair - It will be easier to participate in this one off event and we can expect all our Cells to be engaged. I am aware that some of you are not in Cells as yet. We also welcome your participation.
30th Anniversary Dinner - 17th Dec is still far off but if you think you would like to help out in some way, do contact Chek Tchung or our admin staff, Debbie.

    Regular Ministries
We have Cells and Home groups catering to different age groups and they are at the core of our parish life. If you are not yet in one, we love to have you visiting us. If you are a youth, think about JYM. If you are a undergrad, Poly student or in NS, join us in Connect. If you have children, bring them to Super Powerkids. We also have Joy Ministry catering to the spiritual needs of women who may not be able to make it to our Sunday Services or night groups.

And nothing grows a person more than being able to give and actively putting your faith to works. We have HEAL (inmates), GLOW (ex-inmates) and HOPE (counseling and visitation) for you to consider serving in. On the Mission front, there are also various opportunities to serve over seas, short-term or long-term. We are also developing our prayer ministry and if you sense a calling in this area, contact Pas Henry or Denise Tan.

To support our ministries and community life, our website (http://www.sjc.org.sg) has been revamped into a blog portal to encourage interactive participation. It is still in the works and we will welcome comments and suggestions on how this can be expanded further. On there, you can also find audio sermons, Cell materials, personal blogs carrying special teaching articles and info on our Building project.

    Have a blessed week.
