St James' Church

We enjoyed spending last weekend with the Lims in Hanoi. Freddie Chua accompanied me and we had some good time of fellowship. We have a Sunday fellowship meeting with some locals, which was an enriching experience. We also met some Singaporeans working there and had a Chinese dinner together. It is indeed challenging to work in regional cities and I had the brief opportunity to get some insight into what they go through in their travelling and job responsibilities.  The Lims will be back for about two weeks till after Chinese New Year.  You may want to find ways to keep in touch with them.

This week marks the start of Chinese New Year. At the same time, Lent begins on Wed 6 Feb. I trust that after the festive season, you will be able to participate in Lent. I want to encourage you to use the Lent devotionals for your daily readings or family time. These readings and the meditations will help you to journey with Christ. Do have a wonderful time with your family and relatives this week and wishing you a blessed Chinese New year.
