St James' Church

It is encouraging to see the building fund going pass the $8 mil mark.  The design work of the building is coming along well.  The Building Committee and architect will be visiting a few churches in April to observe some finer points on function and design.  At the last PCC meeting, we also made the decision to move the construction date to early 2009.

This week is a eventful week for those involved in Alpha.  Nicky Gumbel and team will be in town, along with Alpha leaders from country offices in the Asia Pacific region. Many of you have been helping in various ways.  Thank you.  For those who are attending the various events, may we catch a vision and renewed passion for what He can do in and through us here in SJC.

We bid farewell to Bay Heng Tai, Bridget’s husband, who went home to the Lord last Sunday morning.  They are a part of Emerson’s Cell. We will miss our quiet and unassuming brother.  The wake services were well supported and God-glorifying.  A special thanks to all who have helped and supported in one way or another.
