The Children Ministry and Family Life Ministry serve together to guide and support parents through parenting courses.
By collaborating, we offer valuable resources, workshops and courses designed to equip parents with parenting strategies and effective discipleship tailored to their children's developmental stages.
Through these courses, parents can learn positive reinforcement techniques, communication skills, and boundaries setting, fostering a harmonious family environment where both parents and children can flourish. We seek to strengthen families and nurture healthy relationships within the church community.
TPC is designed to help parents-to-be, parents and caregivers of children aged 0 to 10 years.
It provides a basic framework for parenting e.g. build a healthy and loving family life, meet the needs of children and equip them for life.
Children between 4 and 11 years old may join children programme—Super Powerkids (SPK) when their parents attend TPC.
In the beginning, God placed two trees in the garden of Eden: the fruit of the tree of life leads unto life; the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil leads unto death. This course follows the message of Life to equip parents with a range of skills to disciple their children in present-day parenting.
The practical tools of PTC are applicable to any parent or caregiver of children aged 11-18, whether they consider themselves to have strong parenting skills or are struggling, and whether they are parenting as a couple, as a single parent or as a step-parent.
All Christians are called to be royal priests of God (I Peter 2:9). Parents are commanded to disciple God's children (Deut 6:6-9). As spiritual leaders in a family, parents have spiritual authority over their children and they have been given the very powerful tool of prayer. Calling all Dads and Mums at SJC to come together to cover your children and families in prayer (John 17:9).
"Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." (Mark 11:24)
